Our Doctor

Nicole O. Mikels, O.D.

Dr. Mikels grew up in Carroll County. She graduated as the salutatorian of Delphi Community High School in 2009. After high school, she majored in Biology & Chemistry and graduated summa cum laude from Saint Joseph's College in 2013. She then moved to Columbus, OH to attend optometry school at The Ohio State University. In 2017 she received her cum laude Doctor of Optometry degree and moved back home to Indiana.

​​​​​​​In January of 2020, Dr. Mikels purchased the long-standing practice of Dr. Armstrong and created Lakeview Optometry. Dr. Mikels enjoys serving her community’s eye care needs from comprehensive eye examinations to complex eye diseases and urgent eye care such as injuries. She strives to provide Monticello with the latest technology and sees patients of all ages.
